What Customers Say
Reviewers consistently found them comfortable enough to sleep in on their side all night, and in overnight tests the battery comfortably lasted a full night with plenty left by morning. Setup and pairing were widely described as much improved over the first generation, the case button that snoozes the alarm without a phone was welcomed, and the noise masking kept household and street noise at bay for most testers.
The recurring complaints are the lack of active noise cancellation, weak blocking of deep, low-frequency rumbles, and sound that is only average for music and podcasts.
For dedicated sleep earbuds, reviewers agree they are a comfortable, long-lasting choice for side sleepers and light sleepers, as long as you do not need them for calls or daytime listening.
Who Should Buy This
- Light sleepers kept awake by a partner's snoring or street noise,
- Side sleepers who want very small, light earbuds made for bed,
- Partners who want an alarm that wakes them without waking anyone,
- Anyone who wants sleep tracking and noise masking in one app,
- Restless sleepers who drift off to podcasts, music or soundscapes.
Who Should Skip It
- Callers who want earbuds they can also use for phone calls,
- Frequent flyers who want active noise cancellation for loud cabins,
- Owners of Qi chargers who want to drop the case on a wireless pad.
What Experts Says
Overall Assessment and Positioning
The Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 are dedicated sleep earbuds, built to be worn all night rather than for music on the move. They compete with other sleep earbuds on size, comfort and noise masking rather than on active noise cancellation, which Ozlo states they do not have, and with no microphone they are not made for calls.
Key Strengths and Standout Features
At 1.6 g each without a tip, the earbuds are small and light enough to wear in bed, and the box includes 4 sizes of soft silicone tips to help them seal and stay in overnight. Ozlo quotes up to 14 hours of playback per charge, which covers a full night with room to spare, and the case holds two to three additional charges. Noise-masking audio takes over automatically once you fall asleep, while the passive seal of the tips does the rest against outside noise. The Ozlo Sleep app adds sleep tracking and an in-ear alarm that wakes you without disturbing a partner, and Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio handles the connection. The earbuds are rated IPX4, the case charges over USB-C, and Ozlo backs them with a 2-year warranty.
Value Proposition and Who It's Best Suited For
These suit light sleepers disturbed by snoring, traffic or household noise, side sleepers who find ordinary earbuds uncomfortable in bed, and anyone who wants a private alarm. Anyone who wants one pair for sleep, calls and daytime listening, or who needs active noise cancellation for flights, should look at in-ear noise-cancelling earbuds instead.
